The International Tarot Foundation is very pleased to announce the  categories for the 2020 CARTA Awards along with rules of the competition and registration of products.

Best Tarot Deck (Judging the deck in all its aspects)
The panel will choose the 5 nominees based on their assessment and then it will go to public vote for the winner to be decided.
Best Self Published Tarot Deck (Judging the deck itself in all its aspects)
The panel will choose the 5 nominees based on their assessment and then it will go to public vote for the winner to be decided.
Best Judges Choice Tarot Deck (Judging the deck in all its aspects)
The winner of this category will the Tarot Deck that recieves  the highest, collective, number of points awarded by the Judging Panel. 
Best Oracle Deck (To include Lenormand also-Judging the deck in all its aspects)
The panel will choose the 5 nominees based on their assessment and then it will go to public vote for the winner to be decided.
Aspiring Debut Artist ( First published endeavour in the Esoteric Field within the CARTA categories)
The winner of this category will the newcomer with the highest, collective, number of points given by the Judging Panel. 
Aspiring Debut Author (First published endeavour in the Esoteric field within the CARTA catergories)
The winner of this category will the newcomer with the highest, collective, number of points given by the Judging Panel for imagery
 
 Outstanding Artistic Achievement: The winner of this category will be the highest rated artistic works as assessed by the Judging Panel.
Best Tarot book (Independent of a Tarot deck)
The winner of this category will the book that recieves  the highest, collective, number of points awarded by the Judging Panel. 
Best Guide Book accompanying a Deck (Tarot or Oracle)
The winner of this category will the book that recieves  the highest, collective, number of points awarded by the Judging Panel.
Rules of the Competition:
There must be a minimum of 5 individually registered entries for the category to qualify for assessment
In each public voting  catergory the highest marked 5 entrants, as assessed by the panel, will go forward for the public voting process, At this point the 5 entrants will become nominees.
The Judges' Choice Best Tarot Deck award will be the deck that receives the highest number of marks, collectively, as assessed, by the committee.
All products must be 2019 dated publications
All winners and first runner up will recieve a certificate delivered via the postal service.
All winners will exclusively recieve a commemorative prize.
We expect all entrants to be over 18 years old.
The CARTA Awards are open to all and  without prejudice
The CARTA Awards Judging Panel is a group of professionals within the tarot community, each will assess the products or entrants without bias and following guidelines as set out on the assessment sheet.

conditions of registration 
.At least one complete, product example must be sent to a committee member as a condition of registration, it is in the interest of your product so it can be fairly judged in all its aspects.
The registration form will allow you to add images, please only send individual images as they present much clearer for assessment.
Be sure to add all the requested information on the form.
Each individual registration will be accompanied by an entry contribution fee of $10 (USD). This contribution is to support the progression of the awards and our fellow artists/authors.
The registration fee does not increase any chances of nomination.
All registrations must be 2019 dated publications
Self published criteria is a deck that is published independently, by the creator of the deck without contractual obligation of a publisher

3rd February 2020 Registrations will open for entrants
Sunday 5th July 2020 registrations will close
Tuesday 1st September 2020 Assessment by the Panel will begin
Sunday 4th October 2020 Nominees will be anounced for the public voted categories and the top 5 finalists each panel judged category
Saturday 24th October 2020 public voting will close
Sunday 1st November  The presentation video will be released and all winners notified
Monday 16th November 2020 all awards will be sent to the winners
