    Seven of swords.

After 20 plus years of reading this card avoids me. Ive read up about it but no meaning makes sense. I struggle with the deceit side. I almost see the need to do what you can to survive ect...but when it appears in a spread im struggling with the card...i feel like chucking it away. However i know theres a deep something that needs digging up.

Whats your take on this card.

    Thanks guys

If we look at the card being a number 7 then we are given some indication of the energy of the card. This is a guidance card, overcoming challenge by unifying the conflicting energies. This can be thinking clever, thinking outside the box and thinking strategically to help improve your position. The guidance is to maintain a position of good intention because you have the ability to mentally outsmart those who may compete with you but it is important that you maintain your moral foundation whilst taking advantage of your mental ability.

I love this interpretation. I always struggled with this card too. I never could wrap my mind around the explanation of is someone taking/stealing from you or you doing the stealing?

Sometimes the traditional meanings that are adopted and circulate can block us sometimes. It helps to keep an broad and open mind on the insight, its all down to perspective.

This is the card in the deck that messes with me the most. Since it's psychological I see it as taking what you need from a situation and leaving the rest behind. I don't necessarily read it as being sneaky or deception like other readers....
