What Makes a Successful Business?
Tips for Session One

Making the right decions for you and your Business!

Tarot Consultancy is a bespoke service,as mentioned earlier so why not turn this into your advantage!

Ok so not everyone is going to need the service like everyone needs food but you will not be competing with a string of food shops either- well on the internet maybe different of course.

What you need to decide is how much income you think that you will need to earn from your Tarot Business.

What will be your preference, home or internet readings or both, have you come to any decision on this?

Client readings at your home may not pay sufficiently to pay you a regular and reasonable income, initially but an internet based business, well planned, can be very successful. Initially, I tended to read more so at home ( from reccommendations) and then combined with email readings.

Here are some considerations for you:

The disadvantages of working from home

One downside is that this is a very individually run business, you don't have work colleagues to work alongside.

This can be quite isolating unless you are combining home reads and then you will have a client who will visit your home for the reading.

Home reading may be the way you want to carry out your business and the internet may not appeal to you.

If your focus is on home readings then you will have to consider that you need a quiet and private space to facilitate your reading.

It may then be that you request no visitors from family and friends during reading times.

The advantages of working from home

Well, this is where the positives can come into play. As a professional Tarot reader, you can, to a good extent, plan your working hours to suit you and your family.

This can be wonderfully useful, you can work your business around your lifestyle completely. This way you read at a time that you set aside and family and your own personal interests can take priority.

You do not need to be tied to routined hours as you would be if you were working for someone else.

You do save money on business premises also, which is very costly and will eat into your profits.

I mentioned earlier that a percentage of your home expenses may be taken into consideration as a tax deductible allowance.

This is the situation in the UK so clarify with your local tax office if it is there is this potential where you live.
